DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMICS INTRODUCTION

The department of Economics is well established department of KLP College, Rewari. The department has roots since the genesis of the college i.e. since 1964. It was established under the leadership of HOD, Prof. Bajrang Lal Gupta. The department is providing equal opportunities to the male as well as female students of the region to reach to the heights in the field of Economics. Not only teaching is being opted as career by the Economics’ graduates from the college as well as they are joining civil and allied services. They are also clearing CDS, CGL’s, etc.
The department is playing a major role in the development of Economics’ graduates as it is holding many activities like debates, paper reading contests, quizzes, poster making, rangoli making, etc. resulting is overall development of the personality, providing communication skills to them in turn.
Economics department is not only the backbone of the humanities wing of the college but also the department is providing its services to other departments such as the Commerce department. Besides playing its role to BBA, B. Com (Hons.) and BJMC i.e. SFS Courses, simultaneously enriching to MA (Geography) through its valuable lectures and support. Currently 200 students are doing graduation in Economics and 240 Commerce students are also taking lectures from the department. Many a students pass from the college with the subject every year.
The department of Economics is continuously adding to the name and fame of the college by its day to day contributions.
