PSYCHOLOGY

Department of Psychology is located on the first floor of main Building in college campus. Psychology subject was introduced in this college during session 1978- 1979 by the worthy Principal Dr. Rajender Pardeep. Ms. Santosh Popli & Dr. Satnam Singh khumar recognized as founder faculty members in this department. The eminent scholars of Psychology (Dr. P.K. Bansal, Dr. Rani Arora , Dr.C.R. Darolia and Dr. N.K. Chandel ) who served in this department as regular faculty members and enlightened their contribution during whole academic journey. Their academic contribution towards departmental growth is excellent so that everyone feel proud to become integral part of this department. Currently Dr. Mandeep Sharma has been working in this department as regular faculty since 2014 .

The main objective of the department is to enhance the practical knowledge of students with different tests and apparatus in the areas of Psychology. Psychology Department has the following sections: Department office, Laboratory Office cum store, and two well equipped Psychology Laboratories. The Courses taught are:

• B.A. – I (Introduction to Psychology and Experimental Psychology)
• B.A. – I (Social Psychology and Developmental Psychology)
• B.A. – III (Psychopathology and Applied Psychology)

Departmental laboratories have a number of apparatus, tests and inventories. Department introduces students about the assessment tools used in the field of psychology i.e. tests and instruments.
